Honduras Pastoral Couples Training
September 13-21
This was our second training conference in partnership with the ministry of El Ayudante in the mountainous region northwest of Comayaguas. It was great to have such a good mix of previous participants and new friends. These pastoral couples live and minister in very difficult areas, both physically and spiritually. This time together gave them an opportunity to rest, be encouraged, learn some new Truths from the Bible, and renew and grow their marriage commitments.
Here are a few of their comments!
“We’ve been married for 24 years, have 5 kids and never had a honeymoon. This is the first time we have been away together by ourselves.”
“When we were asked to pray for our wife, I turned to mine and started to pray, but I broke down and cried with deep emotion. I was struck by how much I love and value her as I started to see her more fully as God does.”
“We have a marriage ministry in our church and oversee family ministry education for over 500 churches throughout Honduras. We’re going to teach what we have learned this week.”
“I decided to write and tell you how important this week has been for my wife and me. We have had a very beautiful time as a married couple. We will never forget the teachings that have marked our hearts. I just want to say thank you so much for sharing and investing time and beautiful moments with us. You are a blessing from God for our lives and He has spoken to us through you.”
We are unable to fully convey how grateful every pastoral couple is for the special gift that this is for them. It is humbling to hear their comments and appreciation and all we can do is to give God the glory and thank you for your prayers and gifts. Thank you!
