Guatemala, Georgia and Armenia

The order that we approach the Kingdom of God is important.  First, to be One in Christ, we must confess that we are all sinners and only united by the saving grace of Jesus. Then, as His adopted children, God designs us to be better together, living and serving as one. This is the theme for the three back-to-back ministries we will have in the weeks ahead.

Guatemala
February 28 – March 3

I am very thankful that our ministry is so supportive of the Potter’s House Association (PHA) in Guatemala and my participation on their International Board.

PHA is a Christ-centered organization working to alleviate poverty and share the Gospel throughout Guatemala. Once a year the International Board (PHAI), the Guatemalan Board (PHAG) and the Potter’s House Directors meet together as One PHA.  This unified time of reflection and planning is a wonderful expression of being One in Christ and Better Together.

The Republic of Georgia
March 4 – 11

We are so excited to bring together our partners from 8 different Eastern European countries for a special time of prayer and seeking God’s leading for the future direction of Shepherds’ Support throughout the region.

The purpose of our meeting is to unify our mission, cooperation, and strategy so that we can better serve pastoral couples together. This is important in places where we, as North Americans, have limited access. We continue to see God multiply the ministry because we are One in Christ and Better Together.

Armenia
March 12 – 17

After a year of being surrounded, starved and completely cutoff from outside support, close to 120,000 Armenian people were forced to evacuate their homes in Artsakh when Azerbaijan forcibly took control of the area they claim as their own.

Grateful to be alive, but tired and with few possessions, the people scattered throughout Armenia where the church is embracing them. We’ve been asked to return and minister to a group of these displaced couples. We believe that God wants to strengthen and encourage them knowing that we are not alone, but One in Christ and Better Together.

We have an enemy that seeks to distract, discourage and destroy all of what God plans for good and so we take the importance of prayer and our dependency upon the Lord very seriously. There are no simple and safe treks into the enemy’s strongholds. We need you and we thank you for praying together with us.

  1. Please pray that in each of these events we can demonstrate with our lives and teaching that we are One in Christ and Better Together.
  2. Pray for God’s leading and unity amongst our Eastern European partners so we might corporately understand His strategic plan for us in the region.
  3. Pray for strength and good health for all involved during these three weeks of travel and ministry.

We are so thankful for you!

Your faithful prayers and support are a living testimony that we are
