2023 Year-end Update

When Pastor Steve and Connie Troxel, along with their courageous board, began Shepherds’ Support International (SSI) in 2006, they didn’t have a “grand plan” in mind.  They simply set their hearts upon Jesus first and responded with kindness, straight-forward teaching and a generous spirit to the great need they saw amongst pastoral couples throughout the world.

In 2016, as the Troxels prepared to retire, their mandate to Rick, Diana, and the new board was to help lead SSI “to the next level.”  While it is encouraging to see the many ways we have grown over the past seven years, it is even more satisfying to reflect upon how God has helped us stay true to those core principles of Steve and Connie: hearts set upon Jesus; kindness; straight-forward Biblical teaching; and a generous spirit.

This past year, as Shepherds’ Support has pursued God’s leading, we have grown our international teaching team, developed regional strategies, and expanded our support base allowing us to serve in new areas. The Lord has blessed us with opportunities to live out our core values with pastoral couples in Peru, Colombia, Chile, Armenia, Zambia, Kosovo, Honduras and Ukraine.

Throughout the year, our support and teaching team members have pursued the Lord, loved others well, taught with excellence and given generously to support and strengthen the marriages and ministries of hundreds of pastoral couples.

Thank you!

We remain committed to living by faith and seeking the Lord’s leading  as we work to multiply and grow the ministry to encourage, equip and engage our ministry partners.  Please join us in praying for our 2024 trainings in:
