The Bible is full of examples of strategic planning, both good (Joseph and Nehemiah) and bad (The Tower of Babel and Jonah). In the business and church worlds we are all about long-term planning. In a reasonable way we are trying to map out a path forward to achieve our goals.

I, too, like to have a plan (Proverbs 14:8), but I have realized as a steward leader of a ministry that good plans only develop through the holy pursuit of God and His leading.
He knows the challenges.
He has all the resources.
He knows the future.
He has the plan.
He is in control!
So, rather than designing a plan and asking God to bless it, as followers of Jesus Christ our job is to pursue God and wait upon Him to reveal the pieces of the plan that He assigns to us (Luke 6:12).
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Latin America Regional Team in Guatemala
May 10-16 to pursue God’s leading

Next week, we bring together a group of Shepherds’ Support staff and our key Latin American Regional Team leaders to pursue God and seek His direction for the ongoing work throughout the region.
God has led us into new countries. He has raised up amazing new leaders. He has united our team. He has provided for all that’s been needed. So we trust Him to faithfully and clearly lead us in our next steps to encourage, equip and engage pastoral couples and ministry leaders.

Ways you can pray
- Pray that we would patiently wait upon the Lord and seek Him above everything else. We long to hear His voice and leading through His Word, Spirit and our fellowship together.
- Pray that we would be obedient to the promptings of God’s Spirit and follow through with all that He calls us to. This is especially important in our regional planning and the development of our teaching material for each leadership training conference.
- Pray for our teaching teams that will be serving in Ukraine, Tanzania, Belarus and Paraguay this summer. There is a lot of work to prepare well for each of these unique training opportunities.
