God’s Presence Made It Great!
Bolivia, April 4-12
The weather was beautiful. The hotel was comfortable and restful. The teaching sessions were insightful, transparent and moving. The meal times were wonderful times of fellowship. Our team did a fantastic job teaching and getting to know the participants throughout the week. However, these alone were not what made this a transformative time in the lives of the 51 couples from different parts of Bolivia that we had the privilege of serving. It was the presence and working of God that impacted all of us!
And the Lord said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
How did we see God’s presence at work?
Over the course of the week, I think that each and every couple approached one of us to express their deep appreciation to God for the timing of the event in their life or how God blessed them by the teaching or the love of God that they felt. God spoke deeply through the very personal messages of Integrity and Transparency, but also concretely through the genuine interest and care shown by our team.
Here are some of the comments that we heard from the pastoral couples:
“I have worked with a lot of Americans, but Shepherds’ Support is different. They came to get to know us and encourage us by really engaging with us and listening to our stories. We have felt the embrace of God and His grace towards our lives. Thank you for everything you have given to us this week.”
“This conference took place at just the right time for us. We have never been to something like this as a couple and God knew exactly what we needed. We connected in new ways and felt very loved through the many special details.”
“We can’t express how much we appreciated this time together. Serving our families and the church demands that we are constantly pouring ourselves out for others, but never have the opportunity for others to pour into our lives like this. We desperately need it too!”
The blessings of your gifts and prayers did not go un-noticed. Everyone, and I mean everyone, told us in one way or another, “Thank you and please thank everyone who sacrificed to make this possible for us! You will be in our prayers.” Thank you for your prayers and support!

- Thank God with us for answering our prayers for His presence to impact and transform the lives of the pastoral couples in Bolivia. His work is always amazing to witness.
- Please pray that the couples would faithfully fulfill the decisions and commitments they made to live a life of integrity and be transparent.
- Pray for the pastoral couples and our team (the Tabors, Webbs, Evaristos and Lowes) preparing for our next training conference in Colombia beginning the 24th of April through May 4.
