Jim and Suzy Erb

Pastor Jim and Suzy are committed to serving God as a unified team. They have ministered together since their engagement over 41 years ago.  They have found that combining their different gifts allows them to accomplish much for Christ. They have been married for 40 years and are blessed with three married children and six grandchildren.

Jim’s first pastoral role was with young adults in Hershey, PA. There, Jim and Suzy ministered side by side, offering pre-marital counseling and practicing hospitality. Over the course of the next 6½ years, they successfully planted an Evangelical Free Church in Orlando, Florida. They then moved to Lena, IL, to serve a rural congregation of 200 people for 22 years. Suzy returned to teaching music at the elementary school, and they continued to minister together through counseling and hospitality.

International ministry became a significant part of their ministry during there time in Lena. Jim traveled to China to train house church leaders and together they have held multiple training events in Kenya. They have member care experience in several countries where they have provided firsthand support and encouragement.

God eventually led them to The Villages in Florida, where Jim served as Mobilization Pastor at Live Oaks Community Church. They have continued to make their home a center for relational ministry and encouragement.

Over the past three years, they have greatly enjoyed serving on several Shepherds’ Support training conferences. This re-ignited their commitment to minister together as a couple and equip others. Jim and Suzy share a lifelong commitment to collaborative ministry, leveraging their distinct gifts to advance God’s Kingdom. Their greatest joy is serving Jesus together.
